Dear One,
I have yet another short post for you today, as I get ready to host my last Gaian Soul Retreat this coming week at Aldermarsh on Whidbey Island. I ended up staying home from the Northwest Tarot Symposium due to chronic health issues acting up. I’m disappointed to have missed seeing new and old friends in Portland, and it’s hard to let people down. Yet this way I’ll be able to rest up for the last retreat and hopefully arrive at Aldermarsh rested and refreshed.
Short-But-Potent Tarot Spreads
I love short spreads of three to five cards laid out horizontally. I find that you can often go directly to the heart of a matter much more quickly than when you lay out a spread with ten or more cards.
I used this 3 card spread for years:
1 - Opportunity
2 - Challenge
3 - Resolution (or Most Likely Outcome)
Then I added a couple more cards to the mix, creating my favorite spread:
1 - Opportunity
2 - Challenge
3 - How to Meet the Challenge
4 - Potential Outcome
5 - Main Thing to Keep in Mind
My favorite question is always “What do I need to know about this situation?”
