We’re trying out something new for our paid subscribers.

Dear Ones,

I’ve been thinking about ways to build more community among our paid subscribers. So many people that I know, and so many that I don’t know, are suffering in one way or another. Reaching out to support each other in tangible ways is critical. “Sending thoughts and prayers” has become a joke, and rightfully so when it takes the place of substantial action or systemic change.

But I also know that every time I’ve faced a life challenge of some kind, it’s meant everything to know that I’m being held by the prayers and love of people in my community.

So I’d like to give this a try: Each month, I’ll set up a post that is a dedicated Community Prayer Support Thread. This will be on a weekday (after today), in addition to my Sunday posts. You can leave prayer requests in the comments. You’re welcome to share anything, large or small. You can be as detailed or as vague as your comfort zone allows. When the rest of us read it, we can pray for you or send you good energy, each in our own way. We can leave notes of support in the comments, too.

Remember — comments on Thread posts are open only to paid subscribers, so it’s a private space. (That’s true for all subscriber-only posts as well as the Chat feature.)
